AI for health, government and community services in Western Australia
Policy and service teams need to compare wellbeing across areas, but the indicators come from many agencies in different shapes. We built the national atlas that brings them together, and assistants that answer from it with accuracy you can measure.
Where AI helps, and where it doesn't
Workflows we often look at in a screening. Every one gets a rating and a reason; the real list comes from how your team works.
| Workflow | Rating | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Finding the right indicator for a question | Automate | A plain-English question matched to one of about 3,600 indicators |
| Comparing regions | Assist | Maps for every SA2, SA3, SA4, LGA and state, for an analyst to read |
| Drafting a policy brief | Assist | AI drafts from the data; the author checks and signs |
| Answering public enquiries | Assist | Answers linked to the official council or government page |
| Setting the program | Leave as is | Decisions stay with the people accountable for them |
What we have already built
Your project starts from working parts, not a blank page. Try them now; each can also be installed on your own servers.
- About 3,600 wellbeing indicators across seven domains, from learning to safety
- Harmonised to every SA2, SA3, SA4, LGA and state in Australia
- An assistant that finds the right indicator from a plain-English question and opens the map
- Measured accuracy of AI database answers, using our own database benchmark
- Numbat: WA parents ask in plain words and get answers linked to official pages
How a project runs
Four steps. You can stop after any of them, and each one leaves you something to keep. More on how we work.
- 1
AI workflow screening
We review how your team actually works, task by task, and rate each workflow: automate, assist, or leave as is, with the reason, effort and risk for each.
Typically 2 to 4 weeks, fixed price
- 2
Concept design and proof of concept
We build a working prototype on your real data. Success measures are agreed before we start, so the result is a clear go or no-go with a build cost.
Typically 4 to 8 weeks, fixed scope and price
- 3
Production development
We turn the prototype into reliable software, connected to the systems you already use and deployed in your cloud or on your own servers.
Typically 2 to 6 months, quoted per milestone
- 4
Support and improvement
AI systems drift as data and models change. We monitor quality, update models and add features, with a named engineer who knows your system.
Monthly, scaled to use
Who we work with: Government agencies, health services, researchers and community organisations in WA.
Questions
Other industries we work in:
How do you know the AI's answers are right?
We measure it. We test AI answers against the database with our own benchmark, and every answer links back to its source so staff and the public can check it.
Can sensitive data stay inside government systems?
Yes. Every application can run entirely inside your network with open-weight models, so nothing is sent to an external AI provider.
Do you work with research groups?
Yes. We can help set up research collaborations with suitable research groups, and explore research grants together and prepare the applications.
Keen to have a chat?
Schedule a coffee chat in Perth, an online meeting or an in-person meeting at your office. A rough idea of what you'd like to improve is plenty.
